I would probably go 3oz of oil. Make sure to get the proper weight for your system. Also make sure it does NOT have sealer in it. Same with the refrigerant, NO SEALANT. Dyes are ok and preferable. Personally, 30-45 minutes on the pump will be sufficient. Maybe 10 minutes at rest. Then make sure to purge the main refrigerant line before the charge. This will be accomplished by cracking the hose at the manifold. If you're using cans, hold them upside down. Guess it doesn't matter, upside down for a 30lb can also. I would start the charge on with both red and blue sides open. for as much of the capacity as possible, then close the red/high pressure side and start the truck, ac on and high blower to complete the charge.

Hopefully Freightliner will let me know oil type and the refrigerant capacity since my sticker is gone.
I got your number in my pm box so you might hear from this weekend...I'm gonna tackle this at Louisville so I'm sure I'll have plenty of arm chair AC experts around to guide me also LOL

I'd quit driving before I went back to pulling a Van or reefer. Did it my first few years of driving, dont plan on going back... After all money ain't everything.

0400 in the morning standing in a caged in area of a warehouse like I'm an animal with 20 other smelly sloppy drivers waiting to check in at the receiving window with some old hag that's behind the window who hates drivers.... No thank you.

I would do all that rather then pull a van. I have been in line at a truck stop with one or two of those stanky driver's in front of me.

I'd rather deal with that than the flip flop crowd.
