Espar issues...

I had problems with mine not running all the time . Took it to TK they said 450 clean it plus labor another 200. For 900 i can buy new 1 . So i bought a new 1. Problem solved no more issues for 2yrs . Then i sold truck

 

You can clean it yourself. Parts are readily available online ebay etc

 

Yea i tried that . Works cpl months then more problems. I was in WI 5 below said heck with it . Bought new 1

 

sometimes you have to take them apart and actually clean out the burner chamber if they get too plugged up with carbon.

You guys know that every month you need to run it for 15 or so minutes?

 

lol i have espar as well. mine is acting up a bit right now as well taking a few try's to start. ill certainly try to get it on video.

 

I had both bunk and block Espars. The block worked fine. But the bunk was like being in the middle of a boiler. No matter how low I turned it, I would wake up in a lake of sweat, and would have to crank the windows open for an hour when it was -35 outside. I never did figure out what was wrong with it.

 

for a few bucks more you can get a digital controller that allows you to set a thermostat temperature. it will speed up slow down and even shut completely off as necessary to maintain within a couple degrees +/- of your set temperature.
