Why do some cars follow you?

They do this so at 1/4 mile before their exit they have ability to whip around you cut in front of you stand on their brakes and make their exit.

i used to just very gradually slow down, not using my brakes, as to warn them of doing so. yes, that aggravates them, and they pass me.

my route now, there really isn't much traffic at night, bit I STILL do this in my car...>!!!!

i ain't in no hurry anymore these days, to have someone push me or force me to drive any faster.

plus, when we drive for them, we get aggravated as well...

 

Well thought out sir, but people are attracted to our charismatic charm and classic good looks. It's as simple as that.

 

Herd mentality, as others have mentioned (usually women drivers... no offense!) Also, some have a fear of passing big trucks, especially tankers ... (they think it might blow up)

 

Most of the time when someone does this they are child like and bored. I had someone do me this way many times. I do remember once though when finally I heard a voice over my CB. Told me to stay in my lane. Several minutes later that guy got lit up by a cop. Most of the time I would just pull off and give it several minutes, most times I was never bothered by them again. These situations bother me because I have heard over the years of drivers being shot at. Moat of those doors will not stop a bullet.

 

Really? What a bunch of a-holes.

 

I was riding in a car with my buddy's wife one time and she had her cruise set but when she came up on another car she slowed down and followed it so I asked her why she's doing that, she said ' I don't know' got mad at me and sped past the car, shot around a big truck and then immediately slowed down. Needless to say we had a very short but heated conversation after that.

 

It’s dumb to tailgate a truck. What if a deer runs in front of the truck and he hits the brakes and then you hit the big truck. Even still if it’s the four wheelers fault they’ll still sue and get paid to go away. This industry is horrendous.

 

Some people are actually afraid of being alone, they need someone close by to feel safe, there is those nasty animals that walk out onto the road, Some are born followers that must be led. Humans.
