Did you take pictures and have BOL signed to whomever damaged the tarps?

Tarps got damaged how ? In transit or by the shipper, consignee? (highly unlikely). And you refer to the "client" wanting the load tarped, just who is the client ? The shipper/consignee ?
hagarcobra Thanks this. -

If broker said no tarps and you agreed on a price then you get to the shipper and they want it tarped, I would do it anyway but would notify the broker. If it’s the kind of load that tears tarps like special machinery or what have you, I would have renegotiated the price with broker before they loaded me asking for more money since I was mislead.
Now if the tarps tear you learn to pad better and take the expensive as a learning experience.p608 and SixShooterTransport Thank this. -
Do you have proof tarps were in good shape prior to loading irregular load.??

Your loss, I hate to say. This is on you.
