So are you Jim Palmer only? Or can you also run for Wilson Logistics on their van freight if you want to?
-
is it a Walk Away lease that you can leave with no penalty if it takes a turn for the worst?

The last numbers I had are from almost a year ago, so pretty dated. Our L/P drivers hauled, on average, 2,400 miles a week on $1.40 -$1.45 per mile to the truck.
That means average gross is about $3,400.
Subtract $1,150 for the truck payment and you are left with $2,250.
Assume 8 mpg, they use 310 gallons of fuel, so subtract another $900 on fuel/def and we're down to $1,350. We have yet to talk about insurance, permits, maintence, or taxes.
Our 1st year wash out rate for LP is over 50%. There are guys who do well with LP, there are those whp survive LP, but from what I have seen over the last 8 years is that LP is not a good option for most people.Oxbow, Dave_in_AZ, Alexander suero and 2 others Thank this. -
I use TTT numbers, all miles. Revenue per day, and % profit and loss to determine performance gain or decline.
I post numbers here occasionally - as a running thread to help others choose a path based on facts if they so wish. After 4 years of doing so, there’s a lot of factual numbers to work with.
I could tell you the CFO just deposited $5800 after fuel, but with $300 left on my fuel card , for 4.5 days work, but my actual paycheck was $840 gross on 2100 miles . . .
The above numbers, though truthful - are almost worthless to anyone.
As also is, the $1000-1200 /week for LP drivers question that started your thread.
If you want to offer useful information on Jim Palmer /Wil-Trans and LP, then post useful information. -

Hey ignore all the haters there just jealous because your doing well and just don't want see a LP succeed. They want the negatives on here to override the good. Congrats and keep up the success brother. Maybe I'll see you one day in my travels have sitdown with a cup joe.
