Sure, sometimes I get high paying long haul freight. Weeks north of 10K aren't unheard of. But why in the world would I want to chase my tail hauling cheap freight 700 miles, if I can make make MORE money running a local and put in 200 miles? That makes NO sense.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -

No. Thanks.Blackshack46 Thanks this. -
Alot of o/o run fixed rates or do the dumb thing and lease for dollar or less a mile, seeing guys chase there tail non stop lol -
I am in a 65 MPH truck, and I have busted my ### chasing a 4000 mile week as a personal goal for nearly two years. I have managed 3900 miles in a week. Once. I have managed 3500-3700 miles maybe ten times.
I am on a drop and hook loop account with almost zero downtime.
4000 miles in a week as a goal is fine, but you aren't going to get it very often, even in an ungoverned truck, without all the stars and planets lining up.

I do 2500 a week in a six day week. I like my old summer schedule of 2000 a five day week much better.
600 mile days are hard. I can do one or two a week at best. I much prefer 400 and under -
Easily possible. No.
No matter what you do, no 4000 mile week will ever be 'easy' unless you are running an ungoverned truck at unsafe speeds.
