That must be your company only. R&L would build your sets and usually help you dock your pups. Most the time youre docking your van or pups in my region. My current company, we build and break our own sets and dock the trailers, get paid extra for it, and thats how it is at all our terminals. Its one of our accessories we get paid for, along with fueling.

 

We got paid to do it as well to build and break sets but I only did like it once a year.
We brought our doubles/triples in dropped them on the inbound line, checked in with dispatch then given a new dispatch drove over to the ready line hooked to a set that was already built. Rinse repeat at 99.9% of the terminals

 

I seen they had a regional driver and a line haul position available but ill go with whatever honestly

 

Update on my transmission fault.

I’ve been in the hotel since Saturday the 24th. A part was supposed to be overnighted last night, but it never arrived. So now I’m booked through the weekend in the hotel. I was hopeful on being here fewer than 5 days since someone else from Magnum had the same symptoms at this same Peterbilt shop and he/she was here for 5 days. Figured they had the experience now. I guess mine was a bit more complicated. If it were easy, they wouldn’t have jobs I guess.

Not exactly fun. Obviously I’d rather be driving. But at least it’s a nice hotel and the food around here is phenomenal. Plus the continental breakfast is decent.

Last Sunday, my wife and I found this TLC show called 90 Day Fiancé that we marathon watched. Then it ended and said the next airing is next Sunday. So I joked with my wife... “looks like we’ll be able to keep watching our show after all!” Lol

 

Well at least you have your humor...hope the part arrives Monday.

 

My truck goes to the shop in Fargo for PM B valves adjusted, bumper repaired after hitting a deer APU service and DPF number 1 fuel injector no response.
Then to Peterbilt so my defroster and HVAC work on recirculate.
Will be grabbing a loaner and running to Bismarck to play local. Deliver that load then 3 beer loads then reload with a soft drink load back to Fargo.
