Go ahead and deduct it. Take pics and get crime stats on the areas you go to. Then if you get audited, maybe you can convince the IRS auditor to allow it.
Let us know how it goes.
Tb0n3, CorsairFanboy, rabbiporkchop and 2 others Thank this. -
I would. I write off all kinds of personal stuff from underwear to cable “in my truck”
TIMPTE 527 Thanks this. -
You can claim anything you want... until you get audited.
BoxCarKidd, TIMPTE 527, Tb0n3 and 3 others Thank this. -
Seems legit. People with dogs claim 'Guard Dog' and all the dog food, treats/collars and leashes/dog grooming and prepaid veterinary expense is written off on taxes.
CorsairFanboy and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
Itemizing gone bye bye. -
This is crazy...you are advertising publicly that you are considering carrying a handgun in the cab of your truck. What are you thinking?
Tb0n3 Thanks this. -

Bfd. I was a company driver and was prohibited from carrying a gun. Took my 45 with me many times. I also drank a couple of beers in the sleeper on occasion when I was off duty. Oh and the 45 was in the truck at same time. It didn't want a beer so I drank its. Bunch of nancys.
Metallica88, Badmon, CorsairFanboy and 1 other person Thank this. -
I carry a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag with a box of ammo. Have fun trying to track me down.
CorsairFanboy Thanks this.
