With the amount of time they gave me on this load. I was planning on getting down there by late tonight. Then put in a 34 before delivering. But early this morning. Iowa state sign said: Winter storm. Central Iowa till 6am. ... So I stopped at 1:45am. Taking a ten. Been putting in low daily hours anyways.
So much for showing them I can do it. This is more like they told us in orientation. Drive about 8.5 hours so we can just keep going 7 days if needed. I like the idea of running recaps. Would like to at least try it.

 

My last job. They sent me up to western ND in a borrowed new truck. Single axle drive only. Super singles, no chains, no tools. Took 10 in a frozen over iced parking lot. Couldn’t get going in the morning. Help brought in sand for under the drive tires. Charged $1,200. Took him 3 hours just to get there.
