Curious where do you live on the gulf coast?

 

Having lived in Florida all my trucking career...it isn't you. Many companies don't hire out of FL because freight out of there sucks for the most part. Many companies don't even go there because they either have a long deadhead out to get to a profitable load, or their drivers sit waiting for an acceptable load to appear. Florida is a destination state for most freight.

Don't worry, you'll find something. And, although Florida is a crappy freight state, Orlando is one of the better markets.
Keep your chin up and your powder dry. You'll be fine

When I applied for ####s and giggles I applied to Swift, CRST and Werner. All 3 turned me down. Ozark took me immediately and almost 2 years later here I am. I had a full CDL ready to go, paid for. They said no. When I was in college 20 years ago I was a naughty boy. Those 3 won't look at me for that. Ozark said they didn't care it was so long ago.
