Northern mn is apparently going to minus 60 to minus 70 with the windchill the record is minus 71 with windchill .. be safe out there on the roads the next few days as those temperatures kill quickly if unprotected

Currently is -21 here with a real feel of -46. Windchill is horrible until Thursday. Roads were bad this morning, was a grave yard thru parts of Wisconsin. Hell, the beer trucks aren't even delivering in some places due to the cold.

People get killed for this kind of thing.

    The beer must always flow.

    ALWAYS.

Riots will ensue. Violence will peak. Economies will crash.

Keep the beer moving, or face anarchy, chaos, brimstone, fire, and all other scary apocalyptic type ####.

Poor beer guys. No love for them. They provide a valuable service. If the beer trucks stop...most of America stops people!

    This is how empires fall.

    No beer.

Save the world, thaw out a beer truck driver.

This message brought to you by the people not part of AA but likely should be, cause they'll riot an destroy the world if they don't get their beer.

Good luck with the gig. Jokes aside, sounds to be an interesting thread.

Sirscrapntruckalot - Beer...it keeps people doing stupid things so your entertained.

    Update:
As a company, I like them. So far, they have been honest and up front with me. I knocked out 3 trips so far, MN to WI , IL to TX and a short run to the yard in Texas to drop for another driver.
Currently my truck sits in the shop, hoping to get this derate issue taken care of tomorrow so I can roll again. Long story short, I'm only going to be in this truck until September at the latest . At that point, I'm going to switch trucks. Not really much to update on currently.

I was averaging $1.87/all miles and fuel discount was anywhere from 40-60 cents off a gallon. I did leave because I didn't see eye to eye with them. They did a bait and switch on trucks, which wasn't a huge deal because i was only using it as a rental for a few months but when the mechanics in Minnesota are stupid. Denton TX shop fixed my truck, and didn't have issues with it after that. However dispatch tried force dispatching and telling me that I had to accept everything. I deadheaded back from PA to MN empty .Turned in the truck. They were surprised and even were willing to change my dispatcher at that point, but it took me dead heading all that way for something to change. I chose to leave. Too many red flags for me. I didn't want to wait and see what else would happen .

If you don't like their customer freight (Mars candy) then they wouldn't offer you any other load. My "dispatcher" was a jagoff. You ask for load info over the phone and he'd refuse to tell you. He insisted that all info was on my elog. However when your 70 miles away from your truck and can't get to it right that minute, you can't get load info. Too much bs for me.
