I'm in my second week of training hauling fuel. I wish I had started alot sooner but I'm glad I made the change. Hourly pay, home every night and great equipment. I couldn't ask for more. This is a small company that knows you by name. I hauled ethanol before so I've grasped the concept fairly quickly. I guess the only bad I can think of is the hour to two hour long wait at the fuel racks, I'm paid hourly though so I'm ok with it. Feel free to leave me any tips that I could use during training.

Glad you are enjoying it. I’ve got all my credentials to haul fuel, had the intentions of doing it but ended up hauling milk instead. The fuel companies around here in my area make all their money during the summer and kinda dip off during this time a year so I went with something more steady.

Which guy the idiot in the car who can't figure out the truck's going to speed up going downhill to make it up the next side, or the guy driving the truck, or is that not how anybody else saw that movie?

Awesome movie - Spielberg's earlier stuff - left an impression on me WAY before I considered driving a truck.

Who do you deliver to? Gas stations or other trucking companies or trains?

Do me a favor and drive like a pro.

I see way too many fuel haulers putting themselves and others in positions that potentially result in flaming death.

If you're being paid well to haul, then drive accordingly. Allow for dumb. Be patient. Respect your cargo.

I know - we all should do the same, but I always look at you guys a bit different.

    Be safe.

I can't tell you how many times I've had that happen, somebody just has to pass in that last little bit of the uphill side and then you gotta ride the brakes to not run them over going down the other side.
