salaried jobs can be found, but if you think that you're gonna get to work the same hours each day or night, you're in for a shock. when it snows up here, i can be out an extra 2 to 4 hours, all for the same pay.
i'd be careful of any "guaranteed weekly pay", especially when things slow down, and you sit at a truck stop for hours on end.
they will make you drive empty for a load, where you might have to sit some more.Jason Rogers Thanks this. -

Paid all my monthly bills the day I got paid and budgeted the rest for groceries, gas, etc. for the rest of the month. Amazes me some folks can’t go a week without getting paid.Jason Rogers and buddyd157 Thank this. -
he only got paid bi-weekly.....whosfate Thanks this. -
My current company pays every two weeks which I misunderstood when I hired on as bi-weekly (oops). I’m paid every other week for the two weeks prior. So if you start at the beginning of a two week payroll, it’s takes a month before you get your first pay check.buddyd157 Thanks this. -
You cant beat hourly pay. You work, you get paid. I drive so relaxed now. Sit in traffic? Gladly. 4 hours to unload? Take your time. Work Saturday for OT? You bet. I'm thrilled. Least I have made is $20 an hour.
