Bend over and just ask how deep you wanna go... that's about what its gonna boil down to. Fmcsa is not in it for the driver.

At least there’s a chance there could be some meaningful changes for the better. I’m as pessimistic as anyone but at this point we have to give them a chance to see what they may come up with before we start becoming negative Nancy’s.

Because after reaching into a fire and burning my hand I know not to keep putting my hand in the fire.

Same thing. Once FMCSA actually helps I'll not be so pessimistic, until then their track record speaks volume.

Sometimes I wonder how many of you guys are posting on behalf of companies. How stupid could you be to want to work more than 14 hours per day and 70 hours per week?

Are people really this indoctrinated to the MILES MILES MILES mindset companies try to instill?

I know MY situation is different than most, but if your income is being negatively affected by detention, work on getting more detention pay. Driving isn't all about driving.

I never worked under a different set of HOS regs...so my only opinion is that my team driver and I have figured out what works for us, so I guess it's all going to be moot anyway.

A lot of the problem with long time drivers who used to run paper logs is they can’t keep the left door closed, they want to stop at every exit to nap or eat.
And elogs is forcing them to actually work for the first time in their life.
    .
Back when I would drive out west, say from Arizona towards Texas, the same fast trucks would keep passing me over and over all day long.
ELOGs forces them to drive 600 miles in under 14 hours, and that’s why they hate the HOS and ELOGs.

It's not always about working more then 70 hours a week, sometimes you got stuck in traffic, or it took forever to unload your tuck, now 60 miles from home, have to spend entire night at truck stop instead of home, yes the is exeption but you know where I am getting.
Or ex example there is round trip load but again because of HOS you can't drive 11 hours and 20 minutes, like those extra 20 minutes will change everything....List can go on and on...

I wonder what will come about first. Snowball fights in the Amazon rain forest, or DECENT changes for drivers from the GOV'T?

    Hmmm??? o_O :banghead: :dontknow: :laughing-guffaw:
