That was so awesome. Thank you.
It's like an angel on earth.
Anyway, where were we?
Right, chains.
Never had any, but I respect those who use them
Good luck and happy wishes, fellasLumper Humper and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
If you get the chains tight enough you won't even need the bungees

I wasn't stopping. Got to the top, and I mean it was snowing like freaking mad. Probably 4 to 6 inches on the road, sun just set.
Got to the east side, bear has all these guys heading west in the chain up.
Anyway took me 4 hours to get to the Love's. I was fried. They had the variable speed at 25.
Like 8 big trucks in the median along the way, and what shocked me was they were all local guys, I mean they had like the 4 or 5 axle trailers and monster doubles.
Then chained up twice the next day to get through the Blue Wilderness lol.alds, Lumper Humper and JReding Thank this. -
JReding Thanks this.

Random thought, for those who say wait it out, chain law has been up on 70 and US 6 here in Colorado since Friday, and will still be up until at least Monday afternoon, that's 4 days, how long do you wait it out? What excuse do you give your customer when you're two days late? Do you grin and bear it if your customer shorts your settlement because you were late?

I picked up a Joliet, IL to Victorville, CA load last night.
I looked at NOAA weather warning map on the weather app I use, and decided there was zero chance I was taking i70 westbound.
Currently on i44, and there was a shutdown this AM that cost me an hour of drive time, but it will almost certainly be clear by the time I start to roll tonight.
It adds about 50 miles and a few minor tolls, but planning ahead tends to save me a lot of time.
I fully understand that drivers do not always have the luxury of avoiding routes, but many times we do.lual, 4wayflashers, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this.
