I did about 10 or 12 of those Safety Kleen loads when I first started here. Pump on at some local/regional facility, then run to East Chicago, have them pull a sample, drop the loaded trailer, pick up a dirty empty, do it again. Didn't even bother cleaning hoses or the pump until I stopped doing those loads. I never thought about metal getting sucked into my pump, though. Glad that didn't happen.

I still have a few oil stained safety orange t-shirts. I had to throw out a few, too. It's easy to spill a bit of that stuff when you have to disconnect four hoses because you're pumping into the back end of a rear-unload trailer. I don't miss it, and I don't miss sleeping at the TA in Gary, either.

I had an easy run out to PA and back last week, drop and hook. Sitting at a Pilot in central Illinois now. Run to northern Indiana Monday morning to drop this loaded container, then back to St. Louis with an empty. There's a run to the Toronto area that was supposed to go this weekend but got pushed back, so maybe that will be my next run after this.

ISO tank on a chassis, for QC. That's a pretty rare load, though. 98% of the loads are in regular stainless chemical tankers.

Just got back from a delivery near Gillette, WY. They had to put steam to my tank. It got so cold, the product started to solidify in the bottom of the barrel.
