That Crown Point agent sounds like somebody that I would do a lot of business with.

Pete, if you're starting a fleet I'll have a 2011 Prostar for sale next week. However, I have to warn you that having a hired driver sucks goat gonads.

That's interesting. When I was there I bet my avg length of haul was 600 miles or less. I did a couple forklift loads to Cali but they didn't pay good enough for me to keep doing them. I usually ran around the Midwest and down into Florida or to upstate New York. Long distance runs didn't pay good enough. You'll do better with a flat for sure, specially if you're willing to tarp.

Nah i don't need a truck:p Thanks though and yeah hiring drivers do suck i wouldn't trust a driver for ####. Most beat the hell out of the truck and will run to a Shop for a $10 light that can be changed easily with a screw driver lol.

Of course a driver will run to a shop to replace something simple, they're drivers not mechanics. Only way I would change anything on someone's truck I was driving is if it meant I didn't have to wait a long time. They aren't paying my to work on the truck and I don't work for free.

That's true but I'm not gonna run to a shop for a $10 light and waste hours for a simple light. Takes 2 mins for a light. When I was a company driver I would replace small things like that and send the receipts in. Anymore you stop at these shops there is a 2 hour wait. That's 120 miles to me lol

    RStewart and roshea Thank this.

Gotta love some of these receivers out here...

I sat 5 hours this morning waiting to be unloaded ( took all but 5 minutes to be loaded at shipper )

This idiot comes up to me and tells me "I'm Lucky" hes unloading me now as hes supposed to be gone to lunch. :biggrin_2554:

After 5 hours my days down the drain what's another half hour or hour wait for him to come back from lunch? At that point I really dont care... I don't know if he thought I was gonna blow him or praise him or what... Some nerve he had...

    I been sitting 5 hours but "I'm Lucky" :biggrin_2559:
