I agree with this, and usually the drivers are to blame for the lost programs by abusing them, only the honest ones will tell you that most want to blame management.

Apparently there's a driver who has been dating one of our coordinators for quite some time and everyone knows about it. I asked my gtm if my wife became a coordinator and i still worked out of this office, would that be an issue. He said no... only if she became a manager or if other issues came up. But they clearly keep their personal and work separate....i hope. It's quite possible... just not recommended. But to get back to what was asked, the money is here and you don't have to slave to the truck to earn it.

I think it's less of an issue with drivers dating coordinators since they really don't dispatch loads anymore like they use to

What really got me was stating the obvious, was told way back during orientation that it was ok to date coordinators, and other non managerial positions, they would put you on a different board. Oh, the kicker... as long as you were not married. Yes there was an issue with that I guess that started a little stink

5/2 I extend into the morning of day 6 about half the time, but only as much as I need to get to the DC from wherever I spent the night. Might be 60 miles, might be 11 miles. Then I pack up and go home.

    Coover Thanks this.

I work every bit of time allowed each day, often pulling in someplace with less than 5 minutes left on my 14. A few weeks ago I got 648 miles, 4 hooks, 5 drops, and a layover on day 5. Got up on day 6 and drove about 60 miles to the DC.

You guys bid already? Good deal ours starts Tomorrow. We get way more activity vs miles usually paid 12-18 on average around 450/day.

I have extended less than 3 times while on a 5 day. We can maximize our hours pretty good with short runs so I usually dont extend. I leave on my go home day with usually only an honest 4-5 hours on 70.
I too usually run down to 10 minutes or so on my 14 daily. My thoughts are I'm here to work, so I'm going to maximize my time while here and enjoy my time at home. So far it's worked out pretty well for me.

    slim6596 and truckdriver31 Thank this.
