There are special asset managers for 'new' Crete drivers these days. After you have been with the company about a month they will do a performance review. If you do well, you are moved to a new asset manager.

I am pretty confident that they intentionally keep you mostly in the NE for that time because it is the hardest region to drive in. If you run well in the NE, you can run well anywhere.

I dont think I went farther West than Ohio, or further south than Virginia for my first month.

My first month I ran pretty good probably over 10,000 but after that good run I really haven’t been out much to the mountain west or west coast I don’t mind where I go as long as I can get out to the mountain west or west coast 2-3 times a year

I hope when I go back out Monday I run harder and see more west coast or mountain west but I doubt it probably do A lot more Midwest and south and east coast but I’m probably going to stay out a month or a little less

Good luck to you! Hope you start to get some longer runs!

Are you pulling dry or reefer? Dry van loads average shorter, typically.

    I agree.

New driver asset managers are apparently chosen carefully, and it is a promotion to get that position. My first standard asset manager (after I got my review and left the new driver manager) was promoted to new driver asset manager only a month or so after I joined their team. I was sorry to see them go, they were pretty good.

It is the new driver asset manager's job to evaluate new drivers. The best way to do that is challenge drivers in the NE.

They are doing their job differently from other asset managers because it is their job to do it differently.

I had a gal last year when I came back it was pretty rough I wasn’t happy how I was being run my first month was 8600 miles or a little more the next 2-3 weren’t much better I almost left Crete
This asset manger is better but I really have to push for miles and I shouldn’t have to do that
