Which brings me to my next beef with Mercer. Their safety score sucks and I hate being red lighted everywhere I go.

I hope everyone realizes the safety score is the result of what drivers do, not what any company does. Unless the result of a DOT audit and those are very rare. Look around at your fellow drivers, they are the problem.

And lowering hiring standards didn't have an impact on that?

How long has Mercer's score been in the sh!tter? I realize it falls directly to the drivers. Does it fall directly on the newer drivers here or does it also fall onto the old timers that ran 2-3 sets of paper logs? I think it falls on both, but what do I know, I'm just a truck driver.

I started here June 2017 with a clean CSA and left with a clean CSA. I also ended up being inspected more here in that time period than anytime in my previous 8 years of driving.

I think it was about 5 years ago when it took a major hit downward and hasn't gone back up. The issue isn't hos violations, its securement and equipment violations.

It isnt all new guys. But when you start hiring guys that have never owned a truck before its no mystery that equipment defect violations will go up.

More than half the OOS equipment violations and securement violations listed on the FMCSA website are from trucks here with lower plate numbers.

Obviously the higher the plate number the newer the driver here...
