Nothing beats fresh and free of chemicals.... hard to do that nowadays.... All we eat is treated with chemicals... not to say about the hybrids and genetically engineered and modified plants and food.... :biggrin_2552:

One of the FEW benefits of driving a route that I know the Amish, and they accomodate my rig, so I can buy a few things..... I'm just a country boy by trade. (or Birth?) My parents farmed when I was a child..we STILL grow wild asparagus. Have you seen the price on THAT at the stores? I still have a corner of my acreage where it grows wild. Comes up around November... we love it, sure can't get better than that.

Yeah, the food in the US kinda sucks anymore...as my wife says as well. We do what we can. No, we aren't totally vegan, but pretty close. We try to be 'chemical free' is all. I'll get a side of beef or venison (for me) on occasion... here LOCALLY. The ladies tippy toe around the red meat, and stick to local fisheries, but..it's all about eating healthy.

We have blackberrries, elderberries, and some wild strawberries also. Apple tree gets hit up by the deer population before we get to them... haha!

Yeah, I had to do what we call a “linehaul” run. Those are typically the ones you see pulling double trailers.
