    Not just dry either. Some idiot drivers running liquid do it too. More than once I've had to try and hammer the oval hose end back round enough to get it to fit. I usually dropped the end of the hose easy like onto my foot and slid it to the ground from there.

    That’s what I do when I disconnect the hose. Catch it with my foot and lay it on the ground.

    @Frank Speak anymore updates to these lids?? Im looking at possibly putting them on a trailer if it ends up in non food grade service. We haul fertilizer or 3/8’s minus “fines” limestone so nothing super powdery.

    If you’re hauling anything but cement or fly ash (anything that will setup when it gets wet), I HIGHLY recommend them.

    If you haul mostly cement and flyash like I do, I would not recommend them unless you’re ok with hopping up there weekly and cleaning the lid.

    The places we load at don’t take care of their spouts and after they finish loading and pull the spout out, it’ll keep dripping that mess all over the lid. First time it gets wet and then dries, the lid may or may not open.

    I have learned a little trick that helps. When I finish blowing off, I get the psi down to five. Then, I release the pressure on the lid. That blows a lot of crap out from under the lid.

    Cool deal and thank you. I’ll keep them in mind once my trailer shows up and we figure out what Im going to be hauling.
