    Try driving a mixer.

I’ve had a customer lead me through the woods with a chainsaw and a tractor pulling a packer. Lol

Or my favorite. Just back up to this cliff formed of loose dirt in your 85k pound truck.

    #### you get a buggy or skid steer.

My favorite part about driving the mixer was sitting in the Florida sun with no air conditioning for what seemed like and Eternity slowly rolling the cement into a pumper unit as two meth heads blasted a new pool with a pump that kept shutting down, the most exciting part of that was when it was finally done trying to clean the drum out after all residue cement have been baked on by the Heat on all of the fins inside the drum and trying to clean it out.
But I love doing Footers that stuff would be so watery and we would shoot all the Footers at the end of the day I don't know it took maybe a few minutes to get everything out of the drum right into that ditch.
Especially on Fridays because everybody had a cold beer on their mind I can honestly say that we screwed a lot of stuff up in the Villages in Florida they had to go back in on quite a few jobs.
But then again you have to remember we put up 43000 new houses in just 3 years, basically one big huge retirement City

Dude, shotcrete is the WORST, and yeah working with meth heads is always terrible.

I’m glad everyone uses pumps here, chuting footings sucks here, you’re always axle deep in mud with 5 chutes on, if I had a 6 wheel drive front dump truck it would be fine but not in my truck.

My favorite is doing pile fill. Back up to a hole and let ‘er rip.

I don't know why these threads turn into a macho contest.

I asked a simply question. I never said I wasn't able to do any of the backings, nor have I ever refused any backing.

Im just trying to understand the LOGIC of telling us not to do one thing because it's unsafe, yet it's perfectly fine to send us somewhere unsafe.

"You aren't the first truck to be sent there, other drivers have been there too". Yea I know, the other drivers mud flaps are still on the ground. :p

Oh. You are looking for a logical reason for companies to be inherently hypocritical?

If you find one, let me know!

    <grin>

Simple answer as to why it's ok to send a driver in there?

Cause that's where the freight is. The reason your called driver is because it's your job to get in there without banging on ####. People wanna blow about how important drivers are to America, that it shuts down without them. Welp a trained monkey can drive a truck hittin ####. So be replaceable or irreplaceable

There's not a lot of logic to it. It's not personal and you're not being picked on. We all deal with it and most people deal with it without whining,
It's the job. Get used to it or find something else to do.

It's a discussion. No need to attack my character, I can just as easily say most of you deal with it because you have no skills or education to do anything else that makes money, but I'm not.
