It shows intentional disregard for the safety of others clear intent right there if I ever heard it

I honestly don’t think this guy meant to take these people out. I don’t think he really thought at all, other than saving himself. I suppose that’s probably natural for one to want to save themselves. That’s where I have to agree on the coward part. And I’ve been through a fatality accident so I’ve been there and I do feel for him. But measures could have been taken to save the lives of those people and he chose to save himself.

He could've hit the ditch beside the off ramp there and quite possibly saved himself and everybody else stuck there, would've wrecked the truck but at that it doesn't matter anymore.

I don't see it as intentional, and sure don't see murder charges. He screwed up, but I tend to think it was still an accident, preventable yes, but all can be called preventable one way or the other.
He could also have probably run off the road, instead of taking the cars out, cowardly, probably, but No one that hasn't been there and done that, really knows what they would have done. We all like to think we would do the right thing, but until the day it actually happens no one really knows.

He will get jail time, all of our insurance will go up, because of his screw up.
I tend to think that living with the fact that he killed people will likely be harder and last much longer than the jail time.

I knew a guy that jacknifed his truck on a slick road and hit a small town school bus on a bridge. I forget how many kids he killed, because he panicked and got on his brakes. There was no charges iirc, but years later he drove his truck of the road and was killed, most people thought it was suicide, no one knew for sure.

I tend to agree with you. And for everyone that yells throw the book at him, back off. You never know what’s around your next curve or how you will react to it.

    Yes, you’re cheap.

You’re too cheap to spend the thousands on replacement emission parts, not to mention the cost of both the turbo AND the DPF when the turbo lets go.

    Nice truck, btw.

I don’t think he necessarily meant to kill anyone either, but the fact is he screwed up big time and people died. That’s not something that can just be swept under the rug.

In this day and time, no way it will be swept under any rug, but it was still an accident, not the first one like it by any means, and it will not be the last.
