You would be surprised at how easily I screw up small details or numbers in my head. it's not really a problem in life. I already know that the details will bite me in the end. If I overlook them.

Colorado does have the death penalty. It's just that they almost never give it out because it requires a unanimous verdict from all 12 jurors. They had a three-judge panel for a few years that gave out some death sentences, but then the Supreme Court overturned that.

He won't get the death penalty, but living with "El Chapo" in Florence might make him wish he did.

I have no reason to believe he will get anything more than a slap on the wrist and maybe a free ride back home. Probably have a job roofing within two weeks. It's true.
Dude shouldn't ever have been driving in the first place. Out of control 85mph truck decides the back of a mini van looks softer than the back of a trailer that Beavis had parked on the shoulder of the road taking his 30 while waiting out traffic.
Sad part is that it's not surprising in the least. We are surrounded by incompetence and stupidity on a daily basis and there is no end in sight.

He would have been coming down that hill in the proper gear and at a safe and controlled speed.
But more importantly, he could read and comprehend all of those warning and information signs placed there at taxpayers expense.

My hope would be each and everyone of us would have chosen a better path then this gentleman did. Shift into proper gear before the grade, let the Jake handle as much braking as it can and use friction brakes to control engine rpm.... Which going down a grade like that engine rpm is going to increase.

Piss on the cars behind you if they don't like you choosing a prudent gear and speed. It's better to have them pissed off at you.... Then dead

Anyone who could develop an emergency brake for a truck that can bring a truck to a gradual stop would be a multi-millionaire.
