A line of trucks can be in the hammer lane passing a slow newbie Swift, Schneider, CR England driver, then you'll see a truck with its flashers on in the shoulder and the newbie will slam on his brakes and jerk his trailer in the hammer lane almost causing a wreck and creating a backup. Stay in the retarded lane where you belong. Only move over if it's an emergency vehicle or if there are idiots standing outside their vehicle or the hammer lane is clear. You dont have to crash into someone just because someone is in their sleeper peeing. Only after us real drivers pass in the hammer lane you can move over thanks.
I'm seeing a lot of newbie drivers doing this lately

What I don't like in that situation is when you're right up to the car and they open their door and hop out only to quickly flatten themselves against the side while you cruise by merely inches from them it feels like.

Get real
If that truck on the shoulder happens to start easing out onto the roadway and you do not make a space for me after I've had my blinker on for the last mile and my options quickly become: ram into the 10 mph truck or put you into the median.... you are going into the median.bentstrider83, Swedish Chef, CDL Noob and 29 others Thank this. -
Real drivers. Real drivers. “Us Real Drivers”
Real drivers don’t clog up the hammer lane nose to tail.
Real drivers respect their fellow hand and leave space, and pass when it’s safe to do so, not cram them into a bad situation.
Real drivers ( used to ) communicate their intentions and work together using the CB.
Real drivers would take up the hammer shoulder to allow the guy in the granny lane to give the shoulder obstacle some safe room - then apologize for not having been aware of the situation.
Real drivers find an off ramp to pull on to, realizing the shoulder is no place to conduct non emergency business.
There used to be a lot of real drivers out here. Now there’s just a lot of real selfishness.Knucklehead, npok, MGE Dawn and 120 others Thank this. -
And real drivers anticipate that someone on the side of the road is about to do something really stupid.
Knucklehead, BigCam9670, Dan.S and 44 others Thank this. -
And here is just one part of the problem.

When a driver turns his blinker on it means I need over... When a driver turns his blinker on and then crowds the zipper it means I need over quickly... When a driver turns on his blinker, crowds the zipper and slows down it means he needs over right G**D*** NOW!!!
My point... If you are so selfish as to not let a fellow driver over in front of you (because he is too slow, or any other reason) when he has his blinker on... Then YOU are no better than the stupid 4 wheelers that race up beside us when we turn our blinkers on because they are too impatient to wait.BigCam9670, BoxCarKidd, bigtssa and 46 others Thank this. -
You gotta slow down and give him enough room to merge, even if he won't merge.
MGE Dawn, EzekelRAGE, QuietStorm and 3 others Thank this.
