At the first receiver in Ontario, CA this morning... as I had planned... arrived early enough to get that small parking lot almost empty so I could do a loop turn inside and face the street so they could unload me... with pallet jack and forklift...

Tomorrow going to second receiver... they will also bring forklift and pallet jack to the truck... and I am going to park at a big empty lot nearby their business.. :D

And when I left that place this morning, had to go thru a lot of traffic... looked on Google maps to see what "best" route would be... but no matter the route, there were accidents EVERYWHERE... :angry2: :biggrin_2552:
Even on the street where I was..... I decided to park there and wait for them to clean up the street... hoping that the other accidents ahead of me would be gone by the time I got there... :biggrin_25523:

After delivery tomorrow will go to another shipper in Fresno.... DSP does it again... gives me something picking up at 3 pm when he knows I will be empty at 9 am... :angry1: And by the time I am loaded, at 5 or so pm... will have to rush to scale... freakin Cheap and Heavy load again.... and will have to find a place to park with one hr left available.... :angry1: Psss me off....
His boss said that if I don't want to pick up loads after 3 pm, will be sitting some... waiting for the next day.... cause it's not easy to find a load... Yeah... right.... Said they get what they can....
It looks like they always get the loads that nobody else wants... or whatever is left... heavy loads, in places that are a pain in the rear, small businesses that look like dumps.. and at the end of their business day.... :angry6:

It isn't easy to find good, convenient loads at the moment. Truck capacity is very high now, thanks to last year's spike in rates following the ELD mandate. Truck capacity caught up to demand late last fall, and with the usual drop in freight in the winter months, truck capacity is too plentiful. More trucks going after the same load == slim pickings and low rates. The more picky you are, even fewer options are available.

The good news is that load offers are slowly increasing, now that the weather is improving and harvests are starting in the south. That hasn't helped much, due to rates still being driven down by too many trucks. Carriers that jumped in last year aren't going out of business fast enough.

Your dispatcher and their boss are not lying. This time.
