Can someone recommend a good gps with hazmat routing?. The navigation in the Qualcomm does not have a hazmat route so I have to figure out on my own haw to go. Don’t take too many hazmat loads but when I do I usually run into a route restriction.

I have Co-Pilot on my smartphone. It has variables that can be put in....including types of haz-mat carried. So far it's worked well for me.....far better than the navigo on the truck's computer (Qualcomm or People-net).
sidrambill Thanks this. -

You should save this link on your phone. It's the OFFICIAL word on HazMat routing around the country, by state. It's not very easy to use but it offers the HM restrictions for each state as a PDF, map, Excel spreadsheet National HazMat Route Registrymcr729 and Just passing by Thank this. -
The RM can also accept your entries for truck length, truck width, gross weight, truck height and calculate a route. -

Whatever way you choose, don't rely on it 100%. My RM kept me going thru San Angelo, instead of the loop for HM. It wouldn't shut up (make a left turn... make a left turn...). It's back in the box. I can read road signs and decide on my own. Sheesh...
