Don't worry about board position. If you see a load you want, then select it or call the agent to book it. If the load gets pushed you'll get it. Like others have said, if you're waiting to see if you got the load give them 30 minutes and then call them back. It's very easy to stay booked out. Board position makes it sound confusing. Just forget about that for now. I never worried about board position unless I knew I was in a bad area. Then my board position would really tell me if I had a chance to get the load or not. Like being in So Cal and seeing a load paying $1.80 a mile leaving ( I pull a van). If my board position is anything over 2 I'm not getting that load.

You live in a good area and should be able to get home regularly.

I’m learning how to book the loads out but like you said but I have tried to book a few loads for Monday but didn’t get them and they disappeared from load board so I guess someone else got them so that’s the board position thing I’m not getting

Board position doesn't come into play unless you're sitting empty. And even then it doesn't mean a lot most of the time.

A good load can come up and you're showing #1 for it, so you bid thinking for sure it's yours. Then somebody 300 miles away that's been at home for 2 weeks decides they want it and now you're #2.

Just forget about the whole board position thing, if you see a load you want bid for it.

If someone wants my help, I dont mind giving it. I was a trainer before coming to Mercer, so i dont mind sharing my perspective, but I'm not going to force myself on others. So to answer your question, no, havent really thought about it, but if someone wants me to help, I dont mind

Yep, if the load disappears you didn't get it. Next... That's all I did. There's a learning curve but it's nothing you can't learn specially with people like razor and others helping you. Best bet is to contact them through pm and try takingt to them.
