Mileage really isn't my main concern, but tire wear and more importantly tire failure when heavy is what I am trying to avoid. The tires are rated for ~6600 lb. each for duals, and I will achieve all of that, but just occasionally. The majority of my loaded miles will be around 5500 per tire.

Whats your percent of empty miles, and total milage for the year? I will say for the guys that run seasonally your best to by a economy priced tire because they will rot before they get wornout. Its nothing for me to gross 96k on a tandem, tandem and only 90psi.

Honestly I get better tire wear and longevity running at max inflations. And I don’t know when my last blow out was. It’s been several years.

That’s not true. Economy tires are bad about irregular wear. Even in short haul applications

Thanks for the chart, I have saved it to my desktop!

The XZY weight rating is more than double what I am getting. Maybe I am reading it wrong?

And everyones operation is different, and that works for you. I dont have blowouts. 2013 had one used cap that came on it blow. No caps, no blowouts since then.

I run bfg’s for steers and kelly’s For drives. Neither are bad priced. Not like a Michelin.
