It's in the 90's... Safety department told me it's because of a lot of speeding tickets and maintenance issues that these drivers are refused to take care of on their equipment and both of those are inexcusable.

Mercer could start doing what the company I'm leased to does, if a driver gets any kind of violation that affects our CSA score they get fined every month that the violation is on record. Also, the fines the company collects gets paid out to the drivers that went the whole year with no violations. I like it.

    dwells40 and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Speeding: combination of A: wannabe outlaw that thinks speed limits are suggestions, watched Smokey and the bandit and thought it was a documentary. B: financially strapped guys trying to get every last mile out of the day and blaming it on elogs. Both should be fired imo.

Equipment violations: A:lazy guys that can't be bothered to do a proper pre and post trip. B: guys with so little mechanical knowledge they don't know to get under the truck and look for cracked brake shoes and chaffing airlines. A needs fired, b should never have been hired (those lowered standards I've talked about before)

Yep... And if Mercer refuses to do anything about this then It just shows the direction they want To head.... And it's not a good one... It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to inspect equipment daily Properly.... And I've seen 1st hand some of the equipment of these guys it's despicable.... I myself if anything's wrong with my equipment in its not gonna affect my operation or DOT regulations I'll get it done while I'm at home but anything other than that I won't hesitate to get something fixed on it and you can definitely tell the ones that have pride in their equipment & the ones that don't.

That's the direction they've been headed for years. Long before you ever came here. So why is it suddenly a problem now but was not a problem when you signed on?

That reads a lot harsher than its meant to. Give me the benefit of the doubt that its not meant as an attack. If i was better with words id be a politician, not a truck driver

Your not leased here, you've never pulled a flat here, and even if so, I still could careless about what your comment would be.

I do know the last time I was in Louisville several senior drivers had told me that it was an idiot in orientation that got caught pissing on the fence there on the driver's lounge parking lot.... Much to say he was gone after that... These are the kind of morons that need to be weeded out...
