Supposed to go live next month. Thus far I’ve heard nothing... Anyone know if it reads hub miles or like PeopleNet it does not count miles driven in an OnDuty status? That’s really my main question...
Its great when it works....when it works. But one little hiccup and you will be editing it all day. Should read hub miles from Start day to End day.
I tend to think of they wanted to save paper getting rid of seal cards would have been a good way to go... Wondering what if a tablet does mid trip? With a logbook you have a paper backup. What’s the plan with eTrips? Maybe I shoulda volunteered...
Guys testing it are tight lipped...wonder why??? I may get a tablet...they say editing on your phone is difficult..
I will watch the miles starting Wednesday and get back to you.Ignore any misinformation,I've had no issues with Ntransit so far.Its easy to operate and saves quite a bit of time.No pay issues either.
Better work...office help has been told to not help the drivers with any problems they phone in on it.
Its reading Hub miles As for the post stating "one hiccup and you will be editing all day"That is incorrect that's not how the system works,Peoplenet could crash for a week and your pay/activities are still populating in GTA.I really dont want to get into the specifics of it I would rather you get the training so you have all the necessary info.
We have a few guys going through the pilot then it rolls out for everyone june 20th. If it works how it's supposed to, cool. Im going to get as Much info ahead of time as i can.
