Steering box is in. Kinda. Hanging on a bolt. Air compressor is out. Developed a leak under the head, throwing oil everywhere. 15578005600211197005139111359600.jpg
Guess that means I'll make the most of the trip to SLC tomorrow. Was going there anyway to pick up the PTO compressor for the other truck we're setting up this week.

Hey - hasn’t blown a main line off , like under the 5th wheel at the splitter box to the drives? New comp, higher pressure stressing things down the line?

2nd thought - reman compressor, buddy had one on an N14 fail quick - bought OEM and all good.

    Good luck.

Left truck wash - low air buzzer on.

Called Peterbilt, ordered 2. Got a free cap, guy remembered me.

Drop in at mechanic, borrowed car to fetch parts - delivered 3 boxes of these to Peterbilt.

Have 2 boxes in the truck for shipper in the morning.

Turns out a driver dropped 2 PALLETS at the mechanic due to receiver rejecting them - mis dated one month early.

@Ruthless may be familiar with the bakery - out of his region.

Life is all good in round about ways folks.

Changed out the dicky sensor myself, fueled, and at shipper now.

I just got home to find my wife cleaning up the basement. Apparently the water faucet going to the front yard froze and split this winter. As soon as she turned it on it was also filling the basement with water.

She never even called me at the shop even though I was only a 1/2 mile away. She said she knew I was busy.

Luckily the damage was minimal since we have already ripped the carpet out in preparation for new flooring.

PEX for that bugger too. And maybe a sump pump dug in below basement floor level too?
