@RayBlaszak if you stay out for so long, what do you do for food?? The only reason I would need to go home is laundry and food, since I was planning on just cooking food that wouldn't go bad for about 6-7 days. I 'm talking to a Roehl recruiter, if he would answer my da*n calls, and that's my biggest worry. I have a sensitive stomach, so can't live off fast food chains like McDs and such.

Once assigned your truck you can feel free to make it your own. We still have some older trucks which means youd have to live off 12V appliances or the inverter you choose to buy. We are slowly getting trucks replaced but condo trucks go to trainers first before given to non trainers. The internationals are actually slightly bigger and have more storage due to no bunk on the top. The freightliner which is what I have has plenty of storage for me but I have 2 bunks for when I train a student. If you happen to get an older truck dont stress about it they will sell it probably within a few months of you getting assigned it and you'll more than likely get a brand new or almost brand new truck.

Also, I'm assuming you bought the microwave, fridge, and freezer? Is it also correct to assume they are like the mini-fridge's that college kids use in their dorms (don't know any other size)?Last edited: May 15, 2019

I'll be heading out to Roehl probably around next month, and I really only have a question about phase one.
Besides getting to learn how to control the truck and basic maneuvers in their skid pad at whichever terminal. Do they give any live practice driving on the road before in the weeks leading you to the final road test? I'm roaring and ready to go, I just want to make sure that get as much practice in the rig during the starting weeks I'm very confident that I will pass in my first go, but deep practice is very important to me. -
I start on the 17th in Appleton, WI.
Can't wait, thanks for the information.
