Like I mentioned, my prior company is defunct (Boss wanted me to buy the fleet and take over the accounts but....wasn't gonna mtge all I had for hit or miss... so much goes into O/O.. not for me.. nope.) And my current company doesn't team.
So what do I do? When she CAN drive in January, I've got a few local O/O's that do OTR and maybe just maybe she needs to go with one of the guys.
Can your hubby's company (or him?) train you?!? I'm telling you it worked WELL for us about 5 years ago. Problem is, wife's gonna probably need a 'refresher' course being off the road for awhile besides a few 'super solo' runs with me at my current company. They DID have us do that on some Chicago runs (where my dispatcher is, even tho I stay in Ohio anymore...)
@laaylor can probably explain Super Solo .. .it's 'teaming' but it's not. We did it on paper back then, so I'm sure its different now.
If my wife can drag an 18 (barely, haha) and a 10 easily... YOU CAN DO IT.
She's 5'2" and about a buck 30 soaking wet, LoL.
I met a Lady trucker today.
