I’ve been where I’m at now since 2003. They might get rid of me though. At least that’s what I’m afraid of. I think I’d mind being away yes but if I can’t find another job non-trucking I might have to.

There’s a chance they might keep me here but take away some salary. Not knowing what is going to happen is killing me right now. Thanks all for listening.

Lol. I’ve only drank beer a couple times since I got worried about my job. Didn’t enjoy it either. Can’t eat much either. I’ve lost about 15 pounds. I usually sleep just a few hours and wake up 3-4 am then start thinking about it and can’t sleep again. We had some dumb birthday party at work earlier and I couldn’t eat 2 slices of pizza.

If you are that stressed over a job, trucking can go two ways. It will either stress you out so bad you faile miserably really quick, or it relaxes you and you find a new home, hopefully this, it sounds like you are in bad need of a change.
I Guess I am lucky, never had a job I had to have or needed to stress over keeping it. I learned early on that there are lots of jobs, and money is not everything, though it is nice.

I think its a lifestyle rather then just a job. Any companies out there hire newbies who want to take pride in their ride. Personally what I drive is important to me. I would like to drive a W 9 or a 389.

If you said it, I missed it. What are you doing for work right now?

I don’t want to say really. I had another thread where I did and went into detail about a lot of things but I asked it to be taken down on the chance someone I know in real life would see it and makes things worse on me.

It’s not too different from what you said you did as far emails and stuff like that but it is a little different type of actual job.

Depends are you going be local because local I could see you staying OTR can be very very hard on anyone new, even older gents who do it they take time off and they don't want to go back out after coming home to family. Recommend never do it unless looking for experience for something better. there are great paying jobs that can get you home every night, or even more then only spend like 1-2 days a week in having sleep in the truck. you need experience for them from 1-3 years.

Yes. I had been thinking to do it for experience then try to go to the oil fields. Just thinking how hard it’ll actually be on me though. If there’s no other choice I may have to.
