I think Mercer likes having drivers like that here... Theyve got him by the balls basically... That driver cant turn down that rock bottom paying load, hes obliged to take it...

Just got me another trailer in hopes for better rates per mile. 53 low pro step deck.. Now I need a pair of ramps and couple of boxes. Any ideas where to get some cheap?
Orange713 Thanks this. -
Don't forget to get the permits for being over length. Quite a few states have a 75 ft overall length limit. No way you are under 75 with that truck and trailer.
Come to think of it you probably were over 75 with a 48 so you already know all this
Ive been actively looking for a set of ramps for cheap. Hopefully you have better luck than i have had.Orange713 Thanks this. -
They had several drivers on the fb group page back in December posting gofundme pages and asking for donations because "times were rough"..they got blasted by several for it..i know times get rough but thats when its time to tighten up the belt and stop wasting money on non essential crap like many do.JonJon78, TruckerPete1990, back street slider and 1 other person Thank this.

Question... do loan companies let you out of ur truck loan if you find someone to take over ur payments lol
-
No, unless that person puts in a loan app and gets approved for the loan. Then they buy the truck from you. Other than that you can write up a lease agreement and let them have it but I wouldn't do it. I did and I got burned. I knew it would probably happen but I did it anyway. Plus there guy came highly recommended by a couple different people that I respect. To the original loan company you'll be responsible for the truck regardless of any agreement you and the other driver have. And if they tear up the truck and just abandon it you'll be responsible for still paying the loan and getting the truck back. Either sell it outright or keep running it.roshea, TruckerPete1990, mtoo and 1 other person Thank this.

That's how contracts work, it's an agreement between you and the finance company. You are responsible till the end. @RStewart advice is spot on.TruckerPete1990, Orange713 and RStewart Thank this.

I swear to god if another person tells me happy memorial day I'm going to jail for assault. I went to 3 stores today and at all 3 everyone is all smiles and cheery with some version of enjoy the holiday! Wtf is wrong with people? This is not a time of celebration. Its a time of mourning and remembrance.
roshea Thanks this.
