    Say Broker A gives Carrier A a load and Carrier A hands it off to another Broker (call it Broker B) who hires Carrier B to finalize. So broker A - carrier A - Broker B - Carrier B

    Is this type of service illegal?

    I think it's technically legal. Lots of carriers open up brokerages and do this kind of BS

    Double brokering is not illegal.
    Also, the example would be subcontracting, not double brokering.

    And both carriers are in same building.
    And all are located in Indianapolis.
