It's new to me, but I understand their logic. If you have a big barn with lots of drivers, someone with 20 years will say "I've been here for 20, why should be be below 30 drivers that just started?"
And with a small barn setup like Reddaway had (and my barn ran only 7 total drivers) someone running line for 21 years should not be booting a 18 year P&D driver from his or her bid. Small barns = big drama.

We have a fenceline where people chain up their pallet jacks. I am going to inquire about any abandoned equipment that is out there. If I get pointed in the right direction I'll pick the lock off and claim it. -
When any new runs are posted anyone can bid on it, city or linehaul. Your seniority is applicable either way.
Seems to me we do things WAY different than most freight lines according to what I’ve read over the years, and I’m nearly 15 years into my employment at my first company of this type, so I must admit things that most guys would find completely normal do come as a bit of a shock to me. -
