Yep, and I look at that load going, ok. One time and see, if they take me 30-45min early and how quick they are. If they go 1hr plus, no go list after I'm done. Then once I get the bols, I tell them thanks for letting me know, to never come back here again, by felicia.

I blame the trucking industry for being too spineless to get things changed to where the can make shippers/receivers responsible for delaying drivers.

I worked part time for a major LTL carrier years ago and after 15 mins of being delayed, we were to call in. 95% of the time, we were instructed to inform the shipper or receiver he had 15 more minutes to load or unload us or we were leaving and if we redelivered, storage and redelivery charges would be collected.

4 pizza ovens came in one day, consigned to a certain business, upon delivering, the driver was told that "we are not ready for the ovens yet". So the driver brought the ovens back to the terminal. 4 weeks went by and they called and ask for the ovens be delivered. The original freight charges were $1200, now $32000, COD, cash or certified check. the consignee almost had a heart attack. but he paid it. Storage and redelivery!

Nestle in laurel md..... arrived 1/2 before appointment, took them 10 hours to load. They had 12 docks but were loading 1or 2 trucks at a time. Second shift came in and and I had to check in again. They were not pleased to find 1st shift got so few of the live non-Prime trucks loaded.

I was getting unloaded at this glass place in wixom Michigan a couple months ago and the tweaker looking unloader guy bangs on my door at about 530am waking me up to inform me that the next truck is waiting and he only has 2 more to do (of 11) so if I start dragging all the trash down the road to their dumpster I'll get out of their way faster.

The problem with this young methheads thinking was that I backed into their door at 9pm and the next guy waiting had already been there when I got backed in. I was actually starting to enjoy sleeping while getting paid after staying awake until 2am checking on their non-progress and I am sure the other sleeping driver was enjoying his paid sleep as well.

Not to mention that if I am being paid detention for throwing away your trash then I'll load it onto my trailer and back up to the dumpster and throw it all away from there after you are done with your job.

I didn't ask that guy to drag all the glass into his building from a quarter mile away so why act like it's perfectly normal for me to? Does the ups or fedex guy unpack and take away all this guys boxes for him at home?

The absolute worst is Metro Foods in Olive Branch, Mississippi. They beat fellow truckers.

He's talking about that Panther Expedited driver that tried walking through a security guard and the guard took exception to it. My opinion on the driver trying to bully his way through a confrontation then lying about what he was doing is well documented here.
