Thats when you go to Adelmans and pull the part yourself- Blend door motor and Module- Maybe $75 bucks!

I Dunno why you guys keep those dealers in busainess- Never save any money that way

What kinda truck do you have? This is bunk Ac on a 2014 T680.

Here is what my guy at KW said:

A/C: “The temperature/blend door is not serviced separately from the F31-1209 assembly.”

The temp actuator can be replaced but not the blend.

    Yep, $1,390.90. List is $1,854.25. Paccar’s recommended is $1,668.83.

    Can have one tomorrow.

Here in lies the issue with newer vehicles. Everything thing is made in “module form”. And they design it that way for a reason.

Ever priced a KW tow hitch for front bumper... The kind that has 2 flanges and a pin that drops through holes in the flanges???

Over $600.00 for a stupid towing accessory!

I went to a machine shop and had them give me a quote to machine them out of a solid block of steel... $350.00 for 1... If I wanted 10 or more it would be $250.00 each.

Sounds about right. Buy for 250-300, then ship it, store it, pay for employees, sell it, ship it again, and make $10 off the part after the end user pays twice what you did to buy it.

    Rideandrepair and Cattleman84 Thank this.

Freightliner wants $59 or $159 I forget exactly, for a 6” clutch return spring!! I checked at 2 different dealers, it’s in their system. I’ll keep what I got till I can match one up somewhere. Basically a $5.00 part.

Another example, The door catch on my old Freightliner, they always break, wind catches door and it slams wide open into air cleaner. Dealer says needs to be ordered and manufactured, no longer in stock. I had the old one welded, picked it up today, $5.00, best part is, it won’t break again. Dealers love to charge big $$$ For parts, “ We have a nice new Truck for you”!!!!
