    Yeah its pretty tough. I was fresh out of cdl school, and it was 10 years ago, but im pretty sure it was 8 wks with a trainer.

    Then i had to go to Columbia SC to take the final road and written test before i got my own truck.

    The way it was explained to me is 1 week orientation in Columbia, ($1,000), 2 weeks with a trainer, ($1000/wk), and then $1,000 a week guaranteed for the first 3 weeks solo. Then its 27% of the load gross plus tarp, layover, detention and additional stop pay. After 1 year they offer lease/purchase under a 3 1/2 year contract. The 401k and ESOP plans are attractive but I'm not sure if I'd even be a good company driver. I'm awfully quick to say "F you". Old dog, new tricks sort of thing.

    I'm not sure my family can watch me struggle like I did as an O/O again though. A lot to consider.

    I quit tmc after 5 months of getting my own truck. Was hung out otr 5 out of 8 wkends the last 2 months i was there. And i was never late for a load and got everything i could get during the wk. Went to boyd bros and man it was night and day. Much more relaxed, and got me home almost every wkend. I was running out of Chattanooga.

    If you have that kind of personality then i would not recommend tmc.

    Boyd Bros has come up a lot in conversation. I think giving them a call tomorrow might be worth a shot. TMC is however willing to overlook a foolish plea deal I made a few years back that has left me with a felony conviction on my record. I'm not sure if Boyd would do the same.

    Most likely team runs that what training usually is like just about everywhere my man 2 weeks anit bad tho. I’ve heard good things about tmc I recon your a new driver or do you have experience??

    My advice look at the Daseke companies all flatbed I work for one central Oregon best company ever great benefits of the other Daseke companies are similar to cotc you’d be in good hands
