I can’t remember orientation pay, I think you still have to have at least two years verifiable experience ( they may have lowered that to a year) and starting CPM is based on experience and work history.

I can't remember orientation pay either and its only been nine months. I must be getting old. I wanna say $100/day but its two days. With 5+years in I started at 47cpm/mile working the SE region and currently up to 51cpm now that I am running long haul. Hope this helps.
MidWest_MacDaddy, Crusader66 and runningman0661 Thank this. -
@gntorres61 I will be in Fremont later today getting my truck serviced and APU repaired, where are you getting your truck serviced at?
Vic Firth and Crusader66 Thank this. -
Do you haul competition-proof freight?
-
Most of our customers have been using FCC for years, they could get other people to haul it cheaper, but we have a 98%+ on time damage free rating through out our system. Last time it was time to rebid our lanes several customers begged us to haul more of their freight, could that change if we see the economy repeat 08-09, sure. I for one, feel extremely comfortable here if the economy takes a nose dive.
In the Great Recession I worked for Keen moving equipment and doing heavy haul, at first we were busy with all the repos, but then the three rounds of layoffs came, I made it through all three rounds, but finally quit because I could only run about 1800 miles a week.Vic Firth and Crusader66 Thank this. -
Then I hope your loyal customers are repression proof (cross depression and recession). A lot of truckers think refer work is repression proof, because everyone has to eat. That's only true til companies start trading in skateboards for refers.

But the good thing about hauling a reefer, you can haul MOST dryvan loads in them when temp controlled slows down.Vic Firth Thanks this.
