Liability mitigation for one.
I don't want to be raked over the coals when some dumb four-wheeler or steering wheel holders wrecks into me because I only had one hand on the wheel.
I don't understand why or how

everybody has their reasons but when you start seeing all these duplicate posts it starts getting old somebody post something and then somebody turns around and post the same exact thing with their name on it a day later you know??
but why do they create a thread again and again and again instead of just going on to a prior open post where it's been talked about.. and continue yipping and yapping about it from there??
that was my pointbryan21384 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Because does this thread’s title indicate it may be about cameras ?deathB4decaf and NavigatorWife Thank this. -

I cover the camera when I’m in sleeper berth status. The rest of the time, either I’m out of the truck or I’m working. Why would I have a problem with the possibility of my employer having the ability to check on me when I’m at work?
I’ll note that in several years of working with driver-facing cameras, I’ve never had anyone from management say boo to me about anything they might have seen, because they don’t actually check them. The only video I’ve ever seen was from actual accident situations.FlaSwampRat and Just passing by Thank this. -
Anyways, when the bean counters came at you for rolling a stop or a hard brake standard procedure was to tell them to #### off or type the warning letter up. Lol management could do nothing, every plant in the metro area needs 5+ drivers and in order to get fired you had to get the SAME violation 9 times in a year.
So you could get 8 warning letters about rolling a stop and another 8 for speeding and you’re good.
Most drivers were good, the company was just a mega concrete company and micro manages for no reason.
But yeah I can’t deal with the cameras, I’ll quit on the spot if you put one in my truck. I’m not gonna get rear ended and the driver dies then I get blamed because I grabbed my drink.TokyoJoe, stayinback, stwik and 5 others Thank this. -
Personally, I’d never consider driving for one them even if it was my only option.jcrack08, shogun, Fold_Moiler and 1 other person Thank this. -

If people would suck up lost pay for a day or two you could get a lot done.
Driver cams? Everyone park your trucks
Elogs? Park your trucks
“I’m not doing anything wrong so idc if I got a camera in my face.”
You spineless cowards are letting these companies ruin the industry. I know you don’t WANT a camera in your face, you just go with it because you have no back bone and are too scared to protest.
“I got a family to feed”
So does everyone else, we aren’t working for the hell of it. If a day of lost pay or whatever it takes for you to find a new job is going to make or break you your job sucked to begin with.stayinback, jcrack08, Gearjammin' Penguin and 4 others Thank this. -
