I tell you what.
Your husband should have found some moxie and told that "trainer" where he can stick it. And then told the company that he was feeling abused and broken down and not trained properly as one would expect a Captain of a rolling 40 ton with winter nigh.
YOU would have gone on the warpath by now. I consider this abuse.
I tell you what. If the trainer aint doing any thing at all now and goes out to Carouse then your husband might as well get a solo tractor, go to dispatch and get his first load. His real educating will start then. And last for however long he cares to make of OTR trucking.
What worries me after that noise is this.
Nothng is said about fears. There is something around these great United States that are bad for some people in different ways, if your husband has not confronted a bad situation particular to trucking then hes going to have to come up with a solution a few moments before his trailer comes all the way around for example.
Again winter is nigh. For me that means battle. Even today being away from it long enough, I get motivated sitting here thinking on the snows up high above the snowline. They'll get their medicines. Eventually. -

Good luck to you and your husband.
Just a few days to go.
Life is long. Take the high road and try to see the positive.
Don't waste your energy on wishing for revenge. That only makes you feel bad.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
I got into a physical altercation with my trainer when I got my license in 2017 . It was not reported and I got off his truck 2 weeks ahead of schedule and he quit 2 weeks after I left his truck. The biggest thing to do is tell him to man up and shake that trainer around the trailer or find a new one. Training is a tiny fraction of your career get through it how ever you can. No sense in letting a prick stop your career
jammer910Z, homeskillet and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Lol....moxie....he has gotten a few things in here and there....personally, I thought one particular "getting back at him" was crude and he told me I would think that because I'm a girl. Like I said to another reply...my husband has thick skin and he has been around this business his entire life. He was changing the tires of his parents trucks when he was 13 and grew from there.
And my husband is a good driver... the trainer actually even through him a complimented him one day as he had to swerve from some other vehicles on the road not to cause a major accident. And that is the light version of that story....I dont understand half of what he tells me but I listen and maybe I'll learn something along the way.
He has a review that he fills out after this experience is over and is planning to lay it all out for everyone to see at that point regarding this trainer. -
I will pass it on. I'm hoping he contacts me soon...I'm trying to stay awake over here....I want him to read these comments....hoping it will help pull him through and maybe give him some new insights on ways to handle this.
