That's a very detailed response, thank you!

I'm going to see what I'm dealing with and go from there. I don't have any dunnage (going to have to find some at some point) and only 4 binders (unless I buy more).

I'll get it on the trailer and start out down the road. No need for LTL oddly enough, you'd think they would look at packing the extra space given 32k.

I hope he finds something better. My fear is it may all be much of the same right now.

I’ve read a few articles on the subject lately, and I’m still not 100% sure.

Interesting the “blood bath” quote - I heard a friend say it the other day, thought it an odd term - found it in a few articles when I started searching.

Every man and his sister buying trucks last year, over capacity. That’s about all I can figure.

Now I have first hand knowledge of van freight right now, I can only see it’s a question of how fast these guys want to go out of business.

I managed to hit 70% profit to 30% expense this year - with paid off equipment. Can’t imagine those with new trucks and payments would be bringing home much more than JB Hunt wages right now.

    Enjoy y’alls day!

IMG_20190830_064619022.jpg morning you pedal pumpin' diesel demons!
Was thinking'bout Grandpa this morning and everyone talking about bad rates. He always said "it's normal to go home tired but if you go home tired and hungry that's a problem"! Keep on keepin' on!

Yes it’s a Chevelle, 65 was first year for a 396 in the GM production world. And it was a L37 option. Only 201 396 powered SS came out that year. It’s predecessor was the 348 / 409 big blocks.

I'm the same way, but the kids of today are the exact opposite. They don't seem to know how to react or interact with people so gun control is the answer. I read a few months back about a group of people were wanting to open up a 3-d cathouse in Houston. 3-d women to get all warm and fuzzy inside. Dam!

That 350 olds diesel had the potential, had they never followed thru with it. But if you mill the fuel pump boss off and put gasser heads and intake they are a bullet proof gas drag engine.

I have buckets of parts from a 7.5 in a Gbody. It was all I could afford, and got really good at changing them fast. Junk yard sets out of S10s were cheap.
