Yep, but not really anything the bulk driver isn’t used to unless all the other grocery stores in the area are on ASN as well.

Correct. Some stores are more relaxed than others. I had accounts I had delivered for many years. That would scan it off a scan sheet while I unloaded 8-9 pallets. I loved the dock stops but it was the dollar stores that made me decide I’d much rather pull pup trailers up and down the highway at night lol. Gave up 5 weeks of vacation but oh well.

It's a bittersweet thing. Sweet when it lets a driver drop and screw, bitter when the picklist has an error against the invoice or what was received in that needed to be corrected on the backend.

Dollar General gave WMT a run for the money with regard to how much of an abortion the receiving process was.

Bonus. Dispatched hours vs hours worked. Not all hubs are like this but let's say I go out with a 13.5 hour dispatch and get it done in 10. I still get paid for the 13.5, that's how I made my money there. When you have a helper you lose 15 minutes per hour of your dispatch and they cost you a lot more time than that more often than not so you are paying for them out of your bonus.

Welp guys. They are evacuating the east coast here in SC. I am curious what this will bring for me come Tuesday since we predominantly run that area. Probably gonna be doing a bunch of cleaning to get my guaranteed 8 hours in.

They can get on a REAL power trp at some of the stores. I had one get snotty with me in Duluth a couple years ago. They were closed for inventory.
He made me wait several minutes before even answering the door. TO tell me that they were closed. I said fine. And sent it back.

Don't know if they ever did get their pool chemicals.

Gearjammin' Penguin and Cardfan89 Thank this.
