The slow lane...

 

Been waiting since 10am for the tire guy to fix/change a tire on the wagon.




It's now 3pm.

 

Gettin it done old school.

 

Came from Orlando, OK, just at a rest area on the I40 right now taking a short break west of Fort Smith.

And looking at the map more, there is no good way to get in and out of there at all. Even the nearest truck stop to my pickup is 30 miles away.

It really looks like the little gas station in Royal is my only option, unless I try and squeeze in somewhere on the road just outside the shipper (on Aviation Plaza). But it's only 14 minutes away from the Royal place, so it doesn't make a difference. As much as I'd like to maximize my driving time tomorrow by staying there, it's still over two days of driving to the border regardless.

Theres really not. The east side of the state has 55 and 555 to anywhere important. West side you're just sol for getting from 40 to 30 unless you run 2 lanes through the hills.

 

Welp ended up with a new tire.


Lovely.

One that went flat had 4 patches in it. I reckon I'll be putting on some trailers tires before too long.
