This actually sounds like a common cre story so we are gonna have to go with the op is telling the truth. I'm guessing the "asking for a friend_ is the op tho lol. Yes you can be on the clock 14 hours and get $300 a week. That is why I will NEVER work otr for milage pay. I like getting paid $28/hr to make my coffee before I pre trip my truck lol.

 

my guess is the reason he got a $300 a week checkl is because he was new and as a trainie you get like $50-$70 a day for 11 hours... And these companies are scum that do not care about the people that they are ripping off only about their profit... Unfortunately there's not really anything he can do except to try to ride it out and apply to other companies then head home

 

Yeah C R takes greed to the next level, saw one of their videos where they got 3 bunks in a truck bad enough with 2 people and all, but come on 3 guys in a truck

If he was a otr lease driver with them then 300 a week makes sense. Many lease drivers make zero or are in the hole weekly.

 

Everything I've read says to avoid leasing a truck until I've been in the career for a while.

 

I’d say you’re right~there’s more failure stories than success stories onTTR not saying it can’t be done but I wouldn’t want the headache. Companies making big bucks off the fruits of your labor while the seed struggles to grow~I’ll pass
