Sooooo.. yesterday I literally passed my CDL test.... Today coming home from work some clown in a pickup truck riding on the side of me slams right into the side of my car. He hit me so hard I can't even open the driver door. Smh....will this hurt me as a new driver? I wasn't issued a ticket or anything...I'm so bummed out right now smh.

Was there a police report filed, were u cited for anything? It sounds like he was at fault and i imagine u would be fine if they didnt file anythinv against you. That is a real ####ty way to celebrate ur first day as a new cdl holder. Sorry that happened to u boss, some people are just so stupid and it cant be fixed

For the most part anything auto related will not affect your job or your CDL.
Alcohol, Drug, Reckless or Careless and/or excessive speed is another story.

You didn't have a ticket associated with the accident, so it's not chargeable. Rest at ease. Some applications will ask if the accident is chargeable? That means were you 50% or more responsible for it happening. It sounds like you can check no there.

I had a clown rear end me at a stop light. He tried to dart across 3 lanes of traffic, into the 4th lane, where he could U-turn under a Texas toll road and get back going the other direction. It was off TX-45 near Louis Henna in Round Rock, for anyone that knows the Austin area. Well it was crowded and he didn't see the speeder already in the uturn lane flying down the road. The guy in the Uturn lane stuck him and he went flying right in to my rear. Cops were called. It shows up on my MVR as a "Crash" but no citation. My company didn't care about it at all.

If you’re not at fault, don’t worry about it. Be sure to either get your car fixed or fair market value plus a loaner.

Your company may not, but I had a wreck in Texas, written up as no fault on my part. All Texas put on my record was I was involved in an accident, and when it came time to renew my insurance on my truck, they were either going to refuse to renew it, or triple my rates, until I paid Tx for an accident report, to prove it was unavoidable on my part.

    Congrats on your CDL!

I was hit and my vehicle deemed a total loss couple of July’s ago.

Get yourself a copy of the police/accident report and save it to google docs or somewhere so you can access it easily, as potential employers will want to review it.
